  Sadly this place has deteriorated since I last visited. Short on staff, in need of refurbishment. Food was ok, and due to diminishing clientele served relatively quickly.

  Not great. Had long discussion about did they do salads. NO. So asked for fillet steak with salad (as advertised on menu). It turned up with chips anyway. Had to send it back. My pie and chips and veg was just OK for the pie and chips, but veg HORRIBLE, smelt really "off". Got asked the usual "was everything wonderful". said no, veg was horrid. Got no reaction, no apology, no refund, no discussion. Nada.

  Me and my family went for lunch here today and the food was absolutely terrible but we didn't return it because we were just too hungry to care at that point. Took an hour to serve us, we got 3 sandwiches (2 Fish Finger + 1 Tuna) I got a bacon and cheese burger and my dad got a jacket potato.
  
  My dads meal was the only one they hadn't burned but then if you burn a potato there's something wrong with you. The bacon in my burger was more like bacon chips than it was bacon, the burger was also overdone to the point where if i knocked my fork against it, it sounded like I was knocking on a door.
  
  Not to mention I said not to include the fries because I'm allergic to potato but they did anyway, they were also burnt.
  
  This was my first time here so I don't know if this was just a one off or not but the fact that they burned other member's of my family's meal as well just doesn't help their image. Not to mention that a few other people at the time had also returned their food.
  
  Pricing was also quite steep, my burger was £9.99 but i suppose it also came with burnt fries and some vegetables.
  
  I think from now on if i'm going to go to a pub I will go to The Prince Albert.
